Summarising

WALT write a summary about a story by using the keywords.

This morning for reading we have been learning about Inferring and predicting. We found out that inferring and predicting are very similar. My task was to use all of the keywords that I highlighted in the story and do a summary about the story. The title of the story that I was working on is the Wesley mystery. While me and my group were with the teacher we worked on what keywords are, keywords are what help you understand the story. I hope you enjoy my work and leave me some feed back and feedforward.

No voice

WALT use punctuation, spelling and grammar.

Punctuation is making sure that you put full stops and commas in the right place. Grammar is making sure that your sentences make sense and spelling is making sure that you spell your words correctly. My story is about waking up with no voice. I had to write about how I think my day would go without having a voice. I enjoyed writing my narrative and I am looking forward to making me another narrative. I hope you enjoy my narrative story and give me feed back and some feed forward.
   
A day with no voice


This morning you wake up with no voice what do you do. I’m not sure what it would be like. Here I am going to write down how I think my day would be like without having a voice during school and after school. I think that it would be very frustrating.

Imagine waking up with no voice, well I experienced that this morning. I woke up this morning with no voice and I don’t know what to do. I can’t talk to my friends or the teachers or my family. I try to talk but no words come out. I don't know how to communicate with everybody I’m lost. What do I do, do I write everything down on a paper or is there something else to do. I struggle as I try to talk but nothing happens. As I arrive at school I am nervous to go to class. I never imagined that this would happen to me but it did. I can’t talk to my teacher and I can’t talk to anybody in the class. What if we do work and I need to ask for help. When the teacher calls out the roll I sit there in silence and then I put my hand up so she can see me. Hours go by and the bell rings for morning tea and relief flows thru my body. After morning tea everyone comes in and sits at a table and starts to do silent reading. We start to do writing afterwards and so far it's going good until the teacher asks to see my work. I am so nervous but not because of my work but because I have no voice.

As I walk up to the teacher I feel scared and nervous. I make it to the teacher and I show her my work as she reads thru it I hope that she doesn't ask me any questions. As she finishes reading thru my work she tells me that I can go. I walk away to go and sit at my table. I look at the time and it's almost lunch time. The bell suddenly rings after a little while. I walk to my bag to get my lunch. Afterwards I walk outside to get some fresh air I go and sit down. After a while the bell rings. I start walking back to class quietly. As I wait outside the teacher comes and opens the door for all of the class. Everyone walks in and waits at a table for her instructions for what to do next. 

We wait patiently and then she tells us to go and make 4 groups there was 24 people in our class today so we would of needed 4 groups with 6 people in each group. The teacher said that we all needed to share our ideas in our group. Everyone had said there idea and it was only up to me to say my idea. Just as I was about to attempt to talk the teacher stopped everybody. Everyone stopped talking and I was so happy that I didn’t need to talk but then the teacher started talking to us and asked if anyone wanted to share their idea, no one put there hand up so she just choose any person in the class. But the person she choose was me I was so nervous and I wasn’t sure what to do.

I hoped that maybe she would just tell me to sit down and choose someone else but no she just sat there and waited for me to talk. I just stood there while everyone stares at me. Everyone trying to whisper the answer to me, I knew the answer but how was I supposed to say it with no voice. I ran out of the class not knowing why, I ran to the bathroom and washed
my hands. I went back to class and I got in trouble for running out of class. It was 3.00 o'clock and everyone left to go home. My mum picked me up and we went home.
Hours went by and it was already 8.00 o'clock. I stayed up for a little bit just sitting on my bed thinking. I was very nervous for what tomorrow might bring. I was happy to have some peace for a while and then finally I went to bed and slept my whole day away.

Malaysia

WALT research about the country Malaysia.

Today we researched about a country named Malaysia. Our task was to do a DLO and put some facts about the country Malaysia on there. Here is my google drawing about Malaysia. I put some facts and I put some photos on the side. I put some photos on my work to make it stand out a bit and to put some photos of what I am describing in my information. Lanterns

WALT  make lanterns for chinese language week.

I have made a reflection about what I did while making lanterns. We celebrated chinese language week by writing facts about the country and putting them on our lanterns. I had fun doing this activity and I can't wait to find out what we are doing next week for our learning task. Writing

WALT work on our Punctuation, spelling and grammar.

Hi today I have been working on my narrative story. This week for writing we have been focused on learning our punctuation, spelling and grammar mistakes. We got given many ideas to write about and we can only write about one idea. I wrote about someone waking up and they can't talk because they have no voice. I have to write about how I think my day would go if I had no voice. Me and my class are all focused on grammar, spelling and punctuation we have all been doing good at trying to do all of these things correctly. I am still writing my story and I think I am going to enjoy writing my next story.

WALT find out facts about the country China.

This week is Chinese language week and I am making A DLO to celebrate the language. On my DLO I have put facts about the country China. I have found out all of these facts for chinese language week. Here is my DLO about the country China I have put as much facts on it as I could. I hope you enjoy my work and leave me some feedback and feedforward about what I should do better next time.



Tongan language week

WALT write a reflection about Tongan language week.

Hi today I have time to blog everything that I didn't get to blog. The first thing I will be blogging is my google drawing about Tongan language week. Last week was Tongan language week and my school celebrated by putting together an assembly. People dressed in there Tongan traditional outfits and so did the teachers. The Tongan group performed for the whole school and some other classes presented something as well. I hope you enjoy my reflection about Tongan language week.
