Hi today we have been learning about Taha Tinana, Taha Wairua, Taha Hinengaro and Taha whanau. We learnt to sort different ideas into their organised group. We learnt about what different foods go in each category and maybe what events you can eat different types of food at such as church or maybe just a casual family gathering.Thanks for reading my work and maybe you could leave me some feedback and feedforward.

Mandala art

WALT write a detailed description about our Mandala art.

The purpose of this activity is trying to understand more about mandala art and trying to do more to investigate and discover facts about Mandala art.

In Mandala art all of the colours have meanings and that is why I have put my colours in order like this.

Techniques that I used to make my Mandala art is Just looking for shapes with a meaning that has something to do with Mandala art and just looking at the colors that might be mostly used. Also looking for a meaning for the colors was a great idea because it really helped me choose the colors.

Interesting facts about Mandala art.
-It comes from india.
-It is circles.
-You can do it with all different materials.
-There is always very small detail in the lines.

In the first layer the colors and shapes represent love and inner peace and is just giving everybody a really good vibe. The second layer going in the design is about sending positive vibes to everyone around you/us and making them feel welcome. The third layer is about being creative and caring for one another everyday. Last but not least the fourth layer is about everybody by putting a circle just to represent us and the world and just putting some crosses on the outside to represent god and the spiritual side of the world and just showing our ancestors and people we care about.

This could be an example if you would like to try and do Mandala art as well. Another example you could use is maybe on google you could try and look up step by step Mandala art and try and learnt from there. Mandala is a great way to relax and stay calm and maybe help you to meditate try and forget about your worries.

Google my maps/Te Taiao o Tamaki

Hi yesterday during cyber smarts my teacher miss Kyla taught us about google my maps. I t was a very cool experience getting to customize our very own map we have been doing work focused about Te Taiao o Tamaki. Yesterday afternoon we also started doing some art about our rivers and what you would find there like rocks, water, sea animals and trees. I worked on harakeke with some friends. The meaning of Harakeke is flaks. I enjoyed doing art and cant wait to finish it off. Hope you enjoy my little post just about what we've

WALT research about one celebration and describe it.
Here is me and Helens presentation it is about a celebration that you might know. The celebration that we chose to write about was Independance day. We had to write about any celebration so we decided to chose one that we didn't quite know that much about. We found a lot of information for Independence day like who celebrates it or when it started.
