First blog post of the Term

Nau mai, Hoki Mai ki taku Rangitaiki, ko Tenei te wahanga tuawha o te tau! My personal goal for the last term of 2017 is?

One thing I am looking forward to this term is the year 7&8 sleepover in week 7 because it sounds like a fun activity to do with the pairs around us and it sounds like an activity that can help us get to know each other more and get to know teachers.

To fully enjoy these end of the year opportunities I will need to remember to have positive and growth mindset, Use manners, listen to teachers, Finish work & come to school ready to work/learn.

Te Reo follow up task

WALT answer the questions that were given by our teacher.

I learnt more about Te Reo when doing this task and I learnt what the 3 official languages are in New Zealand and they are Sign language, Te Reo and English. As you may or may not know today is the last day of school because it is the holidays and next week is Christmas. I hope everybody enjoys Christmas with their family and friends and enjoys reading my work. I tried to put as much detail and work as I could and I hope it is good work and you like it. I would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas and enjoy this year while you can.

John Key Resigning

WALT read an article about John Key resigning and state our opinion.

Hi today I will be posting about a task that I did this morning. The task that I did involved someone you may have heard about which is John Key. I was reading an article about John Key resigning and I was answering a few questions and stating my opinion. New ideas that I found while reading the article was how much days John Key was prime minister, He was prime minister for 2939 days. I enjoyed reading the article and answering these questions.

What I found challenging was trying to write all my ideas down but trying to make sure that it didn't go over 75 words. I found this challenging because our teacher said that we can only have 50 words at the minimum and 60 at the highest but she changed it for us and let us have up to 75 words. Black Gold Reflection

WALT write a reflection about a article named Black gold.

While reading this article I learnt about how people deal about cutting peoples hair and how it looks when they have to brush the hair that they cut. I've never learnt about hair extensions before I've just seen them in salons but now when I think about what they do to get the hair I think it sounds really mean when they don't get a say to whether they want to cut their hair they just have to sit there. 

I thought that this article was sad because of what those people had to go through everytime those people took their hair away from them. When they give the people a price for their hair I think they take it because they need the money for their family and they might be struggling. some people have to go through this more than once and it's sad to see photos of it. I hope you enjoy my reflection about the article Black Gold and leave me some feedback and feedforward for me to look back at.

I think that I might need to work on writing my work and trying not to repeat myself when writing, for example sometimes I type something and then in the next sentence I type some but I just say it in a different way. I was very unsure about some questions that I had to answer but I tried to ask friends and tried to look it up on google.I hope you enjoyed my reflection about the article Black Gold and leave me some feedback and feedforward for me to look back at.

WALT write a reflection about technology.

A new idea that I found out while at technology was that MDF is short for Medium, Density and Fibreboard. I enjoyed today because I liked watching the MDF scanner cut the shapes out and I liked to draw my wings and pig. What I found challenging was trying to draw the pig and wings because there were a lot to choose from. I was interested in this because I could draw it and it was fun. Kiwican Reflection

WALT write a reflection about our time at Kiwi can on Tuesday.

New ideas that I was thinking of were what I could of added and how to make it more interesting. I enjoyed my time at Kiwi can on Tuesday. I found playing outside challenging because for me it was really cold. I was interested in this activity because I could enjoy it with my friends. Next time I think I can work on making it stand out more and describing more. I hope you enjoy my work and leave me some feedback and feedforward for me to look back on.
