"My First Exam Experience"

Hi today in Social Studies we did a reflection about exams this week and mine is below.

This week we had exams, the exams that we had were english, maths, social studies and science, I think for me the most difficult one was maths because I didn’t understand most of the questions. I felt really anxious and nervous because I didn’t want to just guess the answer and get all the questions wrong so I tried my best.

I didn’t find any of the subjects to easy and I didn’t find them excessively difficult.

In my next exam, I would study more to be prepared for exams.

Maths reflection

Today in maths I finished all the tasks that I were given. The first task we were told to finish was task 20 and task 20 was a multiplication grid that we had to finish off, I finished it in English because I already finished that work and had spare time. The second task we had to do was our power and roots document. We had to play a few games related to power and roots and it had other questions in the games, such as addition, subtraction, division and times tables. The games help you practice your maths and help you get better so if you are not sure on ways to get better at maths try looking up maths games because not only are they fun to do they help you at the same time.

Technology

Hi today I will be telling you about what we did during technology. we were talking about 2D and 3D, sketching and drawing and a lot of stuff to do with history and we even learnt how to write the whole alphabets letters by using a vertical rectangle. we learnt how to make 3D letters and how to draw our name with those 3D letters. we learnt names for shapes and the name they use for shapes that have more than 10 sides. For some people that don't know what polygon is it comes from Greek and poly means ''many'' and gon means ''angles''. A shape can only be a polygon if the sides are straight

and not curved for example.

How to make Yogurt

Hi today I will be explaing step by step how to make yogurt with a easiyo yogurt maker equipment. If you haven't made yogurt with a easiyo machine before then this will be very useful for you today. Sadly after you do all these steps you will have to wait until the upcoming day for it to set but when it sets it is definitely delicious and can serve quite a lot of people. Technology Reflection

Hi today in technology we are finishing our comparisons and models. when we are finished we will be doing our final design drawings. I am still finishing off my work but I am hoping I get to finish a clock by the end of the term. Not only me but also Lizzy will be doing matching clocks and those matching clocks will be a compass. I can't wait for next week to see what the next step is to making our clocks. I will be posting more about our clocks next week so stay tuned. Have a great evening.

Session 2 Reflection

HI yesterday me and my group went back to room 3 and it was the boys turn to show there half of the presentation that we all worked together to make, It was very fun and we got to work with a smaller class because room 4 went to the zoo. My favourite part was probably when Kanye was making an example and the kids kept laughing because of his examples and because of the teacher telling him he had to explain it more. Trust me it doesn't that entertaining but it was actually really funny and everybody was laughing.

Session 1 Reflection

Hi just a little reflection of when I went down to room 3 to teach both room 3 and 4 some Maori because it is Te Reo Maori language week with Lizzy, Huriata, MaryJane, Mahara, Kanye and Perenara. Lizzy started the karakia and it was very nice and then me and Maryjane started it off I was very nervous because it was our first session presenting but afterwards was actually really fine and I went around to help the kids with the paper that we planned for them. Today during technology we did an activity based on clocks. we had to describe what the picture of the clock looked like that we choose and write stuff like why our client would like this clock. What features the clock had and what kind of clock it was. This didn't take to much of our time because it was only a little activity. I did enjoy this activity and it was fun planning afterwards as well. I hope you enjoy my work and leave me some feedback or feedforward.

Drug Awareness Poster

Here is one of the tasks from my DARE reflection. This task was to create a drug awareness poster to persuade others to make positive/sensitive decisions about drug use. I hope people learn from my poster and remember to not take drugs because it can be a big impact on there life and change a lot of things. DARE Session Reflection

Today I am blogging about my DARE reflection, I don't want to talk about to much and spoil whats all ready in the reflection but I can tell you what its going to be about. This presentation is about drugs but before you assume anything its about persuading people to not take drugs and if you would like to find out more its all written down below in this presentation.

HI today I will be blogging about what I did in technology. Everyone has changed into there lasty technology group for the year and I'm in Graphics. We all made a google drawing to describe us and what we like etc. It was a very fun task to do and we even got to try and make ourselves on an avatar making site, It was kind of difficult for to do because not everything looked like us but the teacher said it doesn't need to look like you, it could just be what you think looks cool or funny etc. Here is my google drawing that we call me because it is about us(me).I hope you enjoy my google drawing.

WALT describe what we did during technology.

Yesterday at technology I did cooking. Our teacher split the year 7 & 8s up onto different sides and we made different food. The year sevens made fried chicken strips and the year eights made mince filling for the pies that we were going to make next week. It was very fun working with my pair paris. We had a lot of fun making the filling for our pies and we cant wait for next week. WALT reflect about our time at Technology.

This morning the year 7&8 went to tamaki college to our technology groups I am in group 2. We are doing cooking class, I was working with Alone and she is in room 9. It was a very good session today in cooking class. In cooking class today we made a delicious ham, cream, egg and cheese quiche. John Key Resigning

WALT read an article about John Key resigning and state our opinion.

Hi today I will be posting about a task that I did this morning. The task that I did involved someone you may have heard about which is John Key. I was reading an article about John Key resigning and I was answering a few questions and stating my opinion. New ideas that I found while reading the article was how much days John Key was prime minister, He was prime minister for 2939 days. I enjoyed reading the article and answering these questions.

What I found challenging was trying to write all my ideas down but trying to make sure that it didn't go over 75 words. I found this challenging because our teacher said that we can only have 50 words at the minimum and 60 at the highest but she changed it for us and let us have up to 75 words. Black Gold Reflection

WALT write a reflection about a article named Black gold.

While reading this article I learnt about how people deal about cutting peoples hair and how it looks when they have to brush the hair that they cut. I've never learnt about hair extensions before I've just seen them in salons but now when I think about what they do to get the hair I think it sounds really mean when they don't get a say to whether they want to cut their hair they just have to sit there. 

I thought that this article was sad because of what those people had to go through everytime those people took their hair away from them. When they give the people a price for their hair I think they take it because they need the money for their family and they might be struggling. some people have to go through this more than once and it's sad to see photos of it. I think that I might need to work on writing my work and trying not to repeat myself when writing, for example sometimes I type something and then in the next sentence I type some but I just say it in a different way.
