2K17

Hi welcome to my blog today I will just be talking about things I have done since 2017 started. Well on the 1 of january we just had a little party with my brothers, cousins and other family. It was definitely a fun night and I enjoyed it. I stayed up until the next day because I wasnt really that tired. So far I haven't done that much just visit family and go shopping. Thanks for reading my blog post and give me some feedback and some feedforward.

Hi Kalo!

It's great to see that you are blogging this summer. It sounds like you've had a really good start to 2017.

I have also had a great time so far and spent most of my days blogging with students who have joined our summer blogging programme called a Summer Learning Journey. It's a free programme that is open to all Manaiakalani school students, including you!

If you'd like to learn a bit about the customs, culture, traditions, language and foods eaten by people living in countries around the world, please join us!

To join the Summer Learning Journey programme you simply hop onto the Summer Learning Journey site (https://sites.google.com/site/summerlearningjourney/welcome), click on the 'Weekly Activities' tab and choose from one of the 60 activities on offer.

To complete an activity you post your answer on your blog and I will read it and comment. I will also award you points. At the end of the summer I will come to Tamaki Primary to give you a certificate and a prize (if you are one of the three most active bloggers from Tamaki Primary school)!

The programme runs from now until Friday 27 January. I really hope that you will choose to join us on the journey this summer!

Cheers,
Rachel :)

Kia ora Kalo,

My name is Dan and I'm a Health and PE teacher at Manurewa High School. Luckily for me, I get to work alongside Rachel on the Summer Learning Journey over the holidays. We get to blog with lots of students from different schools that take them on learning journeys all over the world. It's so much fun, and I have been learning so much from everybody's blogging!

It looks like you have been keeping up with your blogging over the holidays, so if you're interested in joining our programme then we would love to have you on board! You get to choose from heaps of different countries, and there's tons of different learning activities to keep you busy :-)

Your blogs sounds like you have been having a really fun holiday so far. Especially staying up all night at your party, wow! If you'd like to keep blogging and learning, then follow the link Rachel has mentioned and you can start anytime you like.

We hope to hear from you soon,

Dan.
